Using the community school model approach and through strategic community partnerships, the Relevant Academy will work with other agencies to connect students with valuable community resources.

Eaton Intermediate School District
Under the leadership of Eaton ISD Superintendent, the Eaton ISD school board has been a driving force behind development of the Relevant Academy.  Eaton ISD strives to provide support, services, and programming that support improved student success.

Michigan Department of Education and the Office of the State Superintendent Mike Flanagan
Relevant Academy is a blended learning model that combines face-to-face lab time with the opportunity for learners to study the Michigan Merit Curriculum from online courses from off-site.  With the help of a Michigan Department of Education Planning Grant, Relevant Academy was created.  And with the leadership of Superintendent Flanagan, the Academy has the opportunity to acquire a seat-time waiver to offer flexibility for students who are eager to try again to earn a diploma and to redirect their life toward a more successful path.  

Michigan Works!
Michigan Works! stepped up to offer tutoring and related supports to qualifying students. Their support for individuals with low incomes or special needs include tutoring, study skill training, paid and unpaid work experiences, and other services.

St. Clair RESA's Virtual Learning Academy (VLA)
The VLA has been generous with their virtual learning model. They have allowed Relevant Academy to benefit from the lessons they learned as they established their own virtual academy.  They continue to mentor the Relevant Academy to provide guidance as we grow to serve more learners in ever-improving ways.
